The Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council (DDAC) and Family Support Services (FSS) Committee will hold public meetings in June. As always, it is important for families to actively participate and be heard at these meetings.
The DDAC will be meeting on June 11th from 11 am – 2 pm and the FSS Committee will convene on June 12th from 11 am – 3 pm. The meetings will be conducted in person at several locations across the state, but will also have a virtual option.

On Thursday June 13th 10 am – 11:30 am ADAPT Community Network is offering a free webinar with Dr. Mary McDonald, a highly regarded Professor in the Special Education Program at Hofstra University, discussing “Increasing Behavior & Cognitive Flexibility in Students with ASD.” You’ll receive an overview of behavioral and cognitive flexibility and the importance of focusing on these areas with students with ASD. Flexibility in language use, specific skills related to flexibility, and strategies for increasing flexibility in students with ASD will be discussed. The flyer is attached. Registration is required. LIFESTYLES – GAURDIANSHIP WORKSHOP
